So, New Year, new 'hobby' if blogging can be called a hobby. More grabbing the opportunity to get on my own little soapbox and express my views about..... well, life in general, but more of an emphasis on police and policing.
Here's the thing. I work for the police. For the most part, I enjoy my job and get on well with (almost) all the people I work alongside. I know how hard I work, and I know how hard the other officers work. I know all about the frustrating paperwork and red tape, and I get so annoyed when people criticise my colleagues across the country for doing/not doing something when they know nothing about the job, or the situation.
I will not be commenting on various news stories involving the police. After all, if I'm not involved, I don't know the full circumstances and it would be unfair for me to say things that others may take as Gospel when it's only opinion.
I get on well with my employer, I've worked for worse organisations. However, I will remain anonymous for my sake and to protect my employer. Any thing else you want to know, you just need to ask!
